I’m waffling on offloading this RRL sportcoat. It’s something I coveted for awhile and is really nice. I was initially of the impression that alterations wouldn’t allow it work for me, but I’ve changed my mind on that.

The primary argument for offloading is that I don't do tailored wear, so I'd be wearing this over Ts, sweaters and only very occasionally a button down.

Outside of the staple pics of Ralph wearing this jacket, does anyone have any photos showing how this can suit a casual (workwear) wardrobe?

While tweed sport coats can work well with jeans, this particular outfit doesn't work for me. Looks like the elbow patch on his right sleeve is tattered and hanging down.

That's the appeal! Loved and worn.

Anyone know if the buy 1000 get 500 deal is coming up soon? I could have sworn it was in October.

I’m waiting for that too and looks like it was November last year according to this post

I took the admonitions as a vote for “yes” and am paying $300 to have the sportcoat made (maybe) wearable.

Regicide maybe, but RL looks ridiculous in most of his photos wearing RRL stuff.

I’m not sure I’d pay $300 for alterations for something that might fit that won’t get worn much.

Where’s your sense of ADVENTURE?
