on cultizim, how so cheap?
No, Stag. I wanted to get it when it was 30% off, but it sold out before I placed my order (or it was just temporarily removed from their website). I checked back +/- a week later (not for this shirt, but for imogene + willie t-shirts) and I noticed it was back on their website. When I added it to my cart, I got an extra 50% off on top of the sale price.

Hi, i know this is a RRL forum but I could get this Polo jacket new with tags for less than 800 euros and its MSRP 2500 euros. Whats your opinion on this? Do you know similiar jackets from PRL / RRL and have an experience with the quality? Also the kind of leather patina is really unique, what do you guys think? Thanks!

Hello everyone,

After reading through several hundred pages and following your valuable advice, I finally dare to speak up on the forum by registering myself. I am a young RRL enthusiast from Switzerland. Next week, I will be in Brussels, and I was wondering if the Ralph Lauren store there has an RRL corner.

Furthermore, I take this opportunity to ask a question that has been bothering me for some time. I know that RRL is Ralph Lauren's beloved project. However, I have read several times on this forum that the brand does not generate significant value for Ralph Lauren. This remark has always surprised me. Indeed, considering the prices and the Asian origin of the items, I find this assertion astonishing.

A lot of interesting stores in Newburgh Street, location of RRL London, and the surrounding area. There's a place next door called American Classics that carries labels like Buzz Rickson and the like. RRL Newburgh is cool but small. The main Ralph store on Bond Street actually has a bigger selection of RRL.
Thanks for the tips! Will definitely check those out. Just noticed my hotel is in that area, so even better :).

Someone posted photos of a Purple Label pilot jacket they acquired. It's super high quality and absolutely stunning. That jacket reminds me a little bit of that one, but on a whole different level. It retails for over 6000 euros.

I wonder how the quality of this Purple Label pilot jacket is versus a Pilot Jacket from brands specializing in those jackets, like Toys McCoys or Eastman Leather. Jackets from those brands are half the price. Do you think Purple Label did it better than the "experts"? Not sure if they are even comparable in terms of fit, style, etc. (not an expert on jackets). Anyway, amazing jacket:

It comes all down to the limited production runs. RRL is not sold in huge quantities compared to the millions of Poloshirts for example they sell every year. I doubt they produce much more than 1000-3000 pieces of each production run of lets say a work shirt. Also they have to sell a lot via retailers for like 1/3 of the price they sell for on the website. I only know 4 bigger retailers (breuninger, mytheresa, lodenfrey, cultizm) next to a few small stores that carry low stock of them all over Germany that sell RRL. Polo probably several hundreds.

RLPL tends have different aesthetic though, it’s “usually” more city/more modern even if it looks somewhat repo

The higher end Polo items are usually pretty nice. I like that jacket and could live with the USRL on the tab but that chest patch is a deal killer for me.

I like the faded engineer jacket but I already have one that’s not faded. White roll neck is nice too. But so much 2024 stuff is meh and/or repeats.

I happened to buy the white roll neck at the RL store in Boston a couple of weeks ago. I don't think they meant to have it out yet, but it is excellent.

Heavy knit, open weave, great texture, slouchy drop shoulder and somewhat cropped which just nailed it for me fit wise. It does shed a bit, but just great imho.

Many items offered under the Purple Label or RRL brands are produced by highly specialised sub-contracted manufacturers. For example many RLPL shirts are made by Lorenzini, the highest quality RLPL shoes used to be made by Edward Green or by Crockett and Jones (not any more), suits and sport coats (among others) by Corneliani, so on and so on. If you want to gain insight as who makes what for Ralph Lauren, then this is a good thread to read:

https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...-definitive-guide.94886/page-59#post-11564197

Such RLPL leather jackets are likely only designed by RL, but are likely made by one of the best manufacturers of leather jackets in the world, and then offered under an RL sub-brand at a huge markup.

I would be surprised if they do even 1000 of each seasonal shirt to be honest. Paris shop is like all the time out of stock in some sizes so my guess is each shop has like 2-3 pieces of each size at best...but I might be wrong, if someone has a reliable information I would love to know.

hi everyone, sorry if this doesn't go here, but is this cardigan legit? I'm not a fan of the image in its back, but I guess it may make it identifiable
