How was everyone's snow day?

Being a suburbanite, needed to shovel driveway and clean off wife’s car (mine lives in the garage 😶)

Right when I headed out, anticipating about an hour’s work, neighbor came over with his new snow blower. Took him about ten minutes to clear to whole driveway.

So, ten minutes to clean off the car then headed back inside.

It was nice! Went out this morning to take some snowy photos.

Lovely!

Very quiet. Stayed in mostly. Lots of goofing off.

After “cleaning driveway” (see above) I stared Black Doves on Netflix, then headed to neighbors for firepit and outdoor happy hour while kids sledded.

As of about 9PM, we haven’t seen a plow. Not sure tomorrow will be much different from today.

The Bonneville was supposed to get its MSI today. Since that includes a road test, I called the shop as soon as they opened and the relief in the fella's voice when I said "i would be the biggest anus in the world if i expected that to happen this week."

He then said "if you can bring it sometime thursday I can hopefully get it back to you end of day thursday or worst case friday" so i spose I've got a chilly ride ahead of me.

Still though. Chilly beats face grinding on the pavement due to snow.

Til then, I guess my questionable bottle of homemade simple syrup which is a bit overly sugary (so guess the consistency, opacity and viscosity) and some Old Forester SBBS berbies will help pass the time along with Red Dead 2.....

I think I’ll hike in tomorrow. I’m a 30-ish minute walk in normal circumstances. But I’ve been off for 2-plus weeks and am getting stir crazy at home. And it’s a great reason to break out a pair of shearling lined boots.

No rest for the wicked today, I guess. Not risking the leather dress shoes and wool pants so went with Sorel chelseas and dense cotton Dapper Classics chinos. Hopefully the court won't judge me (see what I did there?).

Please report back & ask if they’re marking off globe trotters. I’m thinking about it. But, of course, I don’t like the price 😂.
