Thanks got on his waitlist. No deposit required. Supposedly he won’t be starting bespoke work until six months to a year out as he works on getting staff hired and retail side going.
The question is: will 1-year-from-now-TSBB want bespoke shoes? I think the answer is pretty clearly yes.

I really like this fabric a lot but I am torn about that or a proper black/white or cream houndstooth.

Either way the wifey got me a few nice sweaters but the creme de la creme for me was this

Need to get it to the tailors to get the sleeves and trouser hem done. Do you guys think cuff or regular hem?

Just thinking formality etc since it has jetted pockets.

For me, the service charge of 20% is the tip. Nothing on top of that. Dining out becomes way too expensive otherwise.
Agreed. Although being forced to leave a20% gratuity would leave a bad taste in my mouth that I wouldn’t eat out. The 10% restaurant tax is bad enough!!

Cuff. Hopefully trousers are pleated too.

Cuff! If you don’t like the cuffs, can always take them out. Beautiful cloth.

Also, for a second I thought you had a fish-shaped lapel buttonhole and got excited about something novel! Alas, it’s only the basting thread.

Who's going to make it??
I'm pretty happy with the last Fox flannel SC that NMWA x Carrara made up. I'll likely stick with them but get a softer shoulder and maybe Patch pockets to make it more casual. Can wait until Greg comes back or my next NYC trip and have it for F/W 25.

Would like it half-lined but all the advice seems to be for fully-lined with heavier fabrics.

Here's Crompton's:

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
