Looking good, gentlemen. Sorry to miss it. I was hoping a dinner meeting was going to disappear from my calendar, but it never did.
Alright! Just scored tix to see Ralph Finnes and Indira Varma in Macbeth here in DC this upcoming April. Tix just went on sale today and are going fast. Seriously pricey, though.

Macbeth 23-24 - Shakespeare Theatre Company
Classic theatre for all audienceswww.shakespearetheatre.org
Unfortunately that’s all I could see as well. Tix have been on sale for months for folks buying subscriber packages for multiple plays. The theater knows this is their big event for the year and have gamed it accordingly.is everything left “standard with premium experience“ for $500?
Voldemort as Macbeth sounds like a must watch...Unfortunately that’s all I could see as well. Tix have been on sale for months for folks buying subscriber packages for multiple plays. The theater knows this is their big event for the year and have gamed it accordingly.
Still, not to be missed. I’ve seen both Kenneth Branagh and Daniel Craig on stage in NYC as Macbeth. Fiennes makes the Famous Brit Trifecta! Also, Branagh is coming back to New York late next year as King Lear. Should be epic.
Macbeth and Richard III must be fun to play. Actors can go all in as mustache-twiddling villains and have fun. Lots of nuance to the characters available as well of course.Voldemort as Macbeth sounds like a must watch...
I have always been more into villains than hero’s for this reason. They are far more interesting characters.Macbeth and Richard III must be fun to play. Actors can go all in as mustache-twiddling villains and have fun. Lots of nuance to the characters available as well of course.
I saw this play in NYC over Labor Day weekend. Quite well done. He was here in DC as a fantastic King Lear in the Spring. Play just got renewed through February.I have always been more into villains than hero’s for this reason. They are far more interesting characters.
There's apparently a new concert venue going in next to the new stadium for the Caps and Wizards. Bad to have concerts that close to an airport and now traffic on GW Pkwy, Hwy 1, and 395 will be extra-horrendous on game nights. Folks commuting south be warned. What does Lebron have to do with an outdoor concert venue? Plus, why should I sympathize with a traveler that didn't bother to keep their wireless headphones charged and booked a flight from LA that was not direct?
Got-bless it! Now I have to cross-reference sport event scheduling when planning a trip and buying plane tickets! Grrrr....There's apparently a new outdoor concert event going in next to the new stadium for the Caps and Wizards. Yeah, apparently that area was pretty bad before the arena was built. Not sure there will be enough concerts and events to make a difference. Maybe the city should rip it down and put up a killer apartment building/commercial space?I feel bad for the Gallery Place neighborhood, which is headed downhill and will bottom out when the Wizards and Capitals leave.
