I don't understand what he is trying to imply about Derek?
Joke's on him, none of us nerds are going on dates!*He went on to clarify (paraphrasing here) that Derek is basically for nerdy dudes who want to learn how to dress for dates
Derek's mentioned a few times here. I haven't finished it yet. The author may be a member of the forum:
Can the Love of Menswear Be Justified in a Time of Global Crisis?
Can there possibly be any value in caring about something as seemingly frivolous as personal style and taste in clothing? As it turns out, Yes!www.currentaffairs.org
I recently reached this point with Rosenthal as well. Some of his exposé style instagram stories were valuable and his pizza info is great, but i just don’t have the bandwidth for his constant negativity.Joke's on him, none of us nerds are going on dates!*
I followed Joe Rosenthal for a while but I got tired of it how negative it all is. Granted, he's often calling out a**holes, but he also just seems to be angry about everything everywhere.
(*joking of course)
Kenji is right of course, as always. No peer-reviewed scientific study has _ever_ substantiated the idea that anyone has MSG sensitivity, unless they also have table salt sensitivity, nor that MSG is more of a problem to health than table salt. In other words, MSG is reasonably similar to salt in terms of its health effects. Use it, or don't, it's up to you. Taste-wise, it's easy to use too much, but that's a different story. What's the guy's beef with that?
MSG>MTGI think the take is that any sort of anti-MSG stance is related to anti-Asian xenophobia.
Case in point, you never hear people complain about the MSG in Doritos.

MSG is literally the sodium salt of glutamate, one of the 20 amino acids that make up all proteins in your body. Anyone who claims that MSG is harmful has no understanding of biology.Kenji is right of course, as always.
