Tanker boot fit adivce 379X Last:

What I know:
  • I wear a 7D in a Barrie Last
  • I am most comfortable in a 7D in a Hampton Last
  • All of my Red Wings are 7.5D
  • I have a pair of 1000 Miles in 7.5D, but I could have dropped to a 7D...they are loose, but comfortable
  • 8D in New Balance
In the pics (7D right foot) you can tell from a volume standpoint, my foot fills up the 7D...it's the kind of snug fit that you have to make sure you adjust your socks correctly and you need to pull the boot on. On the left foot (7.5D) you can tell that the top of my foot does not fill the shoe as well, and it is a more loose/boot like fit that I am used to with my Red Wings...I can step into the 7.5. To me, they both "fit". I just don't know what type of fit is correct. Should it fit snug and need to be pulled on, or should it have more of a loose "boot like" fit like a Red Wing that I can step into? I know you guys won't have "the" answer, and ultimately it's up to me, but wanted find out how your Alden boots fit you and your opinions. Thanks!

View attachment 134864 Finally found my favorite thread! First new format post for me. Pardon the hand full of non-Aldens.
View attachment 134880 The Spotlight on my first "rare" shell! I'm really happy with this shade of Cigar. I'm looking forward to adding more rare colors to my collection!
Figuring out how to post to new platform with Leffot Reverse Chamois boots

Testing drag and drop right into reply with 4060HC. I could probably go Grant and Barrie in the same size as these are a little long...

Dang, soo many great shoes there! Great work guys! I am struggling with the new UI, is there a way to do multi-comments without it scrolling down?

Nice to see SF is back online again!

For testing, my 4 years old snuff suede V-Tips that I constantly wear esp in rainny days. The crepe soles are pretty worn out and should be sent for restoring pretty soon.
