Hi all,

Any suggestion for a suit if I only have a budget up to HKD 5K? 2 piece is fine to me.

I was going to make a try on "cuffs" but some say they have your measurement and made the suit in the mainland factory.

Thanks in advance!

Cuffs gave me a cold face when I walked up without any ideas, and their products didn't look great.

I walked to The Hackney, close to it and run by passionate guys and girls. Gave it a try and fitting was done by the tailor himself, whom speaks Shanghainese, not necessarily meant he's Shanghai-style trained anyway.

Generally their product suffice the pricing at 5-6k/2pcs, just fitting not too well on my slender but wide shoulder body. For normal body types they executive quite well.

Disclaimer: Know the owner and we chatted a lot on shoes in local forum. Initially I went there for shoes and come out with suit lol

I think with that budget it is better to skip the suit for next time, and to use those money to buy good shirts and odd trousers instead.

Frankly your budget is too cheap to get any decent looking stuff, if you are getting that much.

Thanks. Where would you recommend for trousers?

I wear a suit maybe twice each month, sometimes more sometimes less. I'd love to wear a suit more often but generally am uncomfortable with the way most fit given my frame. I'm limited to either buying two rtw suits in two different sizes or buying brands that sell jackets and trousers separately.

While respectable, spending $2000+ usd a first bespoke suit is not something I'm willing to do. I'd rather get my feet wet with the process and experience first, and increase my budget next time rather than the other way around.
