Damn does it suck.

It's the conspiracy theory channel now. No history what so ever. WTH happened? New management? I can remember a time when at least they had a little history a day.

Is there a real History channel out there the same way there are real music channels as apposed to MTV.

The History Channel is now 75% Freemasonry and mafia/gang shows. Entertaining for 10 minutes, then lame as shitttttt.

All the history moved to History International a la music videos and MTV2. Even then, a lot of the 'information' beyond the basics is usually wrong in some way.

Right now they are talking about a theory that states that ancient gods (i.e all of them) are really aliens that visited from another planet. This show lasts ONE ******* HOUR.

Speaks more to the appetite of America the marsupialed than it does to the History channel. They have an obligation to make shows people want to watch.

Best channel by far is the military channel.

There's this show called secret missions, where an ex-special forces guy goes on missions like in real-life.

It seems like during the daytime it's all World War II and Nazis. I tend to check out the military or history international for more thought provoking television.

I turned it on today and saw a guy assert that because they knew about a sun-centered solar system, which tbh i'm 50% sure is not true, the mayans and whoever built stonehenge were somehow smarter than us and the world is going to end in 2012. This man has a doctorate. This is at least 80% of what the history channel has on now and it is sad. Used to be The Hitler Channel. Now it is The Bigfoot Channel which sucks because Bigfoot doesn't even start with an H.

Also gangland is good for precisely one episode then you realize that the next episode is the exact same story.

It was good enough, now it's gag inducing bad.

Also has anyone noticed how bad the Science Channel has gotten? They used to have interesting physics documentaries and all sorts of cool things now they're on the HIST train to failtown.

Also there is one good show on the History Channel. The Universe. It is pretty awesome.

Before they sold out, who exactly was their target demographic? I would imagine it was senior citizens who were nostalgic for the good old days, or veterans who wanted to spend their last days reminiscing about their adventures

If you've never seen this, stop what you're doing and find it. It will blow your mind.
