679 in 16 oz. Kiwami denim (hand-dyed natural indigo) close-up pics. Up close, they have clearly different-colored threads ranging from light blue to near black, but at a few feet away it has an impressionistic effect of general texture. Pretty interesting denim for <$300 (from Denimio).

They stretched a half-inch to an inch right away but holding there since. Lost a little weight and could've probably should've sized down, though they also wear stiffer/rougher than secret denim even with the lighter weight due to a tighter weave.

Yes. Best combination of mid rise, relaxed thighs, strong taper I’ve found.

Does anyone have recommendations for best Oni cuts for people with large thighs? I have a pair of Oni 612 Old 14s that I had to have the waste taken in to wear. I've really only been able to fit into Iron Heart 888s and some Left Field Atlas cuts.

@Nashville1986, I like the 246 for a great all around straight cut. If you like IH888, you may be interested in relaxed tapered cuts with space in the top block in which case I would recommend the 622. Be aware that the 622 has a ridiculously small leg opening so I would suggest trying on before you buy.

First wear of the Oni Black Secret Denim Type II is in the bag. This was the first time I have experienced the original Ayabe spinning factory secret denim and it has a significantly different hand than the regular secret denim. I sincerely hope that they find some other deadstock fabric rolls so we can get our hands on some other pieces.
