Any thoughts on the new 1970s Converse edition? Supposedly better construction, some different details.

At almost twice the price of a normal pair, doesn't seem worth it to me. Plus, I only wear the mids, which they don't have in the 1970s edition.

Yeah, mid tops:

700

They just look, fit, and feel much better to me than the lows or highs. Unfortunately, they're fairly hard to find these days, but I've got a few pairs stashed away.

Yeah, I don't believe I have ever seen mid-tops. Interesting. Not exactly to my liking but interesting.

And I hear ya on the price. I'd consider getting them if they were only slightly more than the regular ones.

I don't know anything about these sneakers and I am looking for a pair online. Can anyone tell me the style/brand/make or anything about these shoes? Thanks!

Hey Guys,

I just started my own sneaker / footwear line. Figured I drop by and get some opinion from this community.

I don't want to link my site cuz I don't know if there are rules against that on here. But would love to get some opinions.

Thank you.

Just got a pair. From what I can tell it definitely feels more durable than a pair of regular chucks. The canvas is thick, the rubber sole is thick and heavy, and the insole feels cushiony, which is more comfortable than the hard, flat insole of regular chucks. Also, the outsole looks yellowish (I like this). With regular chucks, it is bright white until it gets dirty (well, it will get dirty anyway). For some reason, the eyelets also look shinier than regular chucks. All in all, most of them are just small details that most people won't notice anyway. I don't know if it will be a worthy purchase for you, but for now I am quite happy with it.

Thanks. That all sounds good to me. Sounds much like what I remember Chucks being like when i first started wearing them in the 70s. I may have to grab some of these. What color did you get.

Honestly all look uncomfortable and badly constructed. You need something different ...solid white, black, shoes been done to death by companies who failed, and will never beat the classic design of Common Projects.
