The "Swedish Chukkas" are sublime, in any case

Not a fan... though I get it... But far better than these from Sutor...

WTF is that?

Are they made of cork?

They're hideous.

I have these old RL suede bucks. I pulled them out for a trip to NYC a few weeks ago and have been wearing them ever since, including to the SF meetup Wednesday evening. I can't tell you how many people comment on them as looking good, looking comfortable, nice color, etc. The funny thing is that I almost threw them away two years ago after spilling something on them that left a stain. I got a suede cleaner from the shoe guy and rescued them.

These are great and I think I have the same shoe. Brooks also had one made by Peal in a color they called "Milkshake" and those are great, too. And for what it's worth, I even asked Spoo about chocolate suede and he said why not (but, I suggested, not with something super summery.) As far as chukkas go, I agree with the comment that some can have too rounded a too--as in the Clark's but they look okay with casual clothes.

Good stuff in this thread. I'm looking for some input on the best suede buck for sub $200. Is Brooks Brothers my best bet?
