For me...and my teacher.and a lot of other makers...the rule of thumb is: "Any colour is fine as long as it is black."

Isn't this true of every profession? If I walked into court and saw my lawyer wearing a spalla camicia suit and bespoke split-toes, I'd just assume ****** is going to jail.

so if he is wearing a loud chalk stripe you're good to go?

I remember at the closing for my condo the sponsor's lawyer spent like 20 minutes making fun of my lawyer's watch. They both had big, ugly stupid watches in my opinion, but I just couldn't help thinking this guy was such a jerk. He's all, "Pssh!! What's that a Breitling? What's it like $20k, that's like a first year out of law school bro! Come on!"
