Did anyone see this from Mac Rumors?
http://www.macrumors.com/2016/09/14/apple-macbook-pro-survey/

I get that Apple wants to simplify things, but no SD slot, HDMI, or MagSafe? Hmm ...

Way too early to even consider these rumors.

As the article states, next Pro refresh has already been finalized that still includes all these things, and everything points to a Q4 release this year. Considering how long it took them to refresh the Pro design... I don't see these ports disappearing anytime soon. Who knows what the state of those ports will be like by the time we do need to consider removing them. IE does anyone actually use SD slot aside from photographers now that cloud storage is so accessible?... Will photographers even need to plug in their SD cards into a laptop a few years from now? Too hard to say at this point.

Got my shipping confirmation for 7+ black and 7 jet black. Looking forward to working from home tomorrow!

No, the article states that if the rumor is true, it still has a headphone jack, but doesn't include any of those things.

"Based on a leaked MacBook Pro shell, the upcoming MacBook Pro will include four USB-C ports and a headphone jack, with Apple doing away with all other ports on the machine. If the shell is an actual part, the machine will not include an SD card slot, HDMI port, USB-A port, or a MagSafe connection."

The whole not being able to use your headphones for both your iPhone and Mac is dumb. It's the same damn ecosystem, all the peripherals should work together.

Yup. If Apple is going to push Lightning headphones for iOS devices then they should at least include one damn Lighting port on the laptops and Macs.

They're not pushing lightning headphones as their main audio output source. They're merely providing them as a stop gap measure in their long term pursuit of wireless.

Wireless will be their standard across all Apple devices.

I think their communication around this strategy has been very poor, but the strategy's soundness (no pun intended) is intact.

IFixit's tear down of the iPhone 7: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone+7+Plus+Teardown/67384

What I am waiting for is a tear down of the lighting to 3.5 mm adapter. It's the only way we will know what kind of DAC it uses. If the DAC in this adapter is lower quality compared to what the older iPhone's had built in your audio quality will be worse regardless of what types of 3.5 mm headphones you plug into it.

I really don't like the feel if iOS 10. Feels like android to me.
Really? How so?

I actually like it so far. My apps are more responsive and its been fun discovering all of the hidden features. Plus, my phone sounds and tones are back after mysteriously being muffled all throughout ios9.

Not loving the new Messages app tbh, though maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Really liked how dead simple it was before. The additions just feel like cruft to me, though maybe I'm not the intended audience. Also preferred the old "pulldown on banner notification to read/reply to message"...new one feels slower/cumbersome by comparison.
