I'd also add a boar's hair brush does wonders and I have lately been fond of Collonil 1909 neutral conditioner. Bought some in Japan and use it on all my shell!
Happy 25! For my shells, I just do rigorous brushing with a horse hair brush after 6-10 wears in my rotation, and the shine returns back. I keep them with shoe trees when not in use.
