Teach me about blazers, please

Complete newbie to fashion and looking to purchase a navy Brooks Brothers blazer. Questions:

Is there any certain one that you recommend?

If my wedding ring, watch, and belt buckle are silver, should I still get gold buttons or get navy buttons?

Can navy jacket go with light jeans and dark jeans?

Can navy jacket go with brown or black shoes?

What shirts are acceptable under it (e.g short sleeve polo, button up short sleeve, long sleeve button up)?

Any color shirt is ok?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

-whichever fits you the best. This is too broad of a question.
If my wedding ring, watch, and belt buckle are silver, should I still get gold buttons or get navy buttons?
-I would go for silver buttons or brown horn buttons. Navy buttons on a navy sport coat will look suit-like.
Can navy jacket go with light jeans and dark jeans?
I don't wear sport coats with jeans ever, but generally, you want a bit of contrast.
Can navy jacket go with brown or black shoes?
Both
What shirts are acceptable under it (e.g short sleeve polo, button up short sleeve, long sleeve button up)?
I would only wear dress shirts under a sport coat.
Any color shirt is ok?
Stick to lighter colors
