The upper is all suede, sauconys have mesh and suede. I'm sure the suede is better, and theyre really only 320 if you live outside of the EU. Also, triple stitched seams, leather lined, the list goes on. Yes, they are overpriced, but they also have a lot of better features than the regular jazz shoes.

all good points, thanks. still seems batshit crazy to me, but to each his own.

Serious question: Why do these shoes cost $405? http://www.tresbienshop.com/brand/white-mountaineering/jazz-original-navy-grey
They are a version of Saucony's classic shoe, the only difference that jumps out at me is that the soles on these are clunkier and more awkward-looking. I understand spending $400+ on leather shoes, the difference between nice leather shoes and cheap leather shoes is obvious even to people who don't know or care why they're different. But these are sneakers. Who buys these? Why? Why not just buy the $60 version from Eastbay or Zappos? Is there really that much pleasure or satisfaction to be had in being the only person in the room who knows he spent 8 times more than anyone else on his sneakers?

The price is mainly because they are a collaboration, and priced to match the rest of the collection
However, even the special Made in England New Balances round out at $175-$200. Personally, I don't even like them at $65, but a chacun son gout.

Simple the last idiot hasn't been born yet and some people like things just because they are expensive, so why not sell a pair of sneakers that cost 20$ tops to make for 405$.

Necro-bump: To anyone coming here wondering why their code doesn't work; The presales are somehow locked to the US region. They probably set this up days ago and it got screwed up. Emailing them gives an auto response that they are OOO until Dec 27.

With this pre sale offer of 30% lasting until the public sale starts, will we see the same items on sale for 30% also during the public sale without a voucher?

Reason I ask is that I've also got an item being returned which will result in a credit in the form of a voucher which I don't have now and will have in a few days/next week. However 2 vouchers cannot be used at once so I am assuming I'd put through one now, using the 30% off, and then hopefully with the items being 30% off for the public sale, use my credit.

Hope that makes sense.

Yes the prices will be the same, they just give returning customers a chance to beat the sale frenzy.

Sure, but will you need to use a voucher or will I be able to use my credit with a per determined discount?
