The reason I like the CP chelseas is because they are chunkier and less "dressy", for lack of a better word, than the Story Et Fall.

been wearing my SEF chelseas a ton. one of the metal toe taps fell off, so I took the other one off. As it turns out, I like the feel of walking in them a lot more now. And this way I don't have to worry about scuffing wood floors. otherwise, the boots are doing great.

i took off the toe taps immediately because of a fear of scratching flooring. i've been very satisfied with the boots although i do wish they were as sleek as my cemented ones. i guess lian is fixing that though.

Putting in my order for some beige chelseas... I hope they are slender like they are on the website in the 3rd batch. Really a clean design on all three models.. I don't understand why there aren't more boots like these available.

When is the cropped jodhpur coming though...haha

I was hoping Lian would've sorted out the welting issues by now and be ready for the next round. Looks like I won't be wearing them until October at this point.

There was another national holiday in China last week so I'm guessing that delayed things a bit. Hopefully they'll get up and running soon.

Just got an update from Lian:

"Please see attached pictures of the new modified 110 last on EE width that I have just finished.

The rippling is new. I wanted to make the design more minimal so I decided to add it in order to remove the focus from the welt stitches. The stitches are still there but now more hidden.

The toebox is more rounded and flat compare to the earlier cemented that was more pointed. The toebox has not been stretched out, but it may seem like that.

The Side Zip and Jodhpur will use the same last so the shape will remain the same. Sizing remains the same as the previous last.

I will take orders for the first batch this week. Delivery within 4-5 weeks.

Please let me get back to you once you can submit your order. I really want to make sure everything goes well for your order.

The leather (240 USD excl vat) is from the Annonay tannery in France while the suede (220 USD excl vat) is from Charles F Stead tannery in England.

Leather insole as well outsole and heel are all full vegetable tanned leather from Italy."

What do y'all think?
