If CETA works both ways, and I believe it does, there are no more import duties from Canada to Europe and vice versa. I could be wrong though.
I dunno, I bought shoes from Herring and paid 26% tax/duties as a Canadian. It used to be 39% though. Those are made in the UK, so maybe it's related to Brexit.

As for S&M, products are made in China and India. The country where the goods are manufactured matters. So yes, will be hit with duty for S&M.

You are right. It only works if the garments have been produced in Europe when importing to Canada, and produced in Canada for European exports. I stand corrected.

This is interesting. I reside in Europe (EU), and when I've ordered from another vendor that is also manufacturing its items in India, I was never asked to pay import duties and VAT. Was I lucky every time?

EDIT: nevermind, I just saw that the vendor marks the items as for personal use. Maybe that explains why I've never been hit with import duties and VAT from them.

Just got my Neo hopsack back from the cleaners. They did a good job of pressing the 3R2 but the fabric now looks-puckered. WTH. Suggestions?

My guess is they applied heat directly to the lapel which resulted in the interlining warping - not sure there's a fix other than seeing if it loosens up over time

Long-haired cats.

Similar reason here- we have 4 shorthairs. Hair everywhere is just a fact of life now.

Also, while the S&M garment bags are much better than nothing (and I do use them myself), they aren't ideal since they have a fairly large opening at the top.

I use a cedar hanger ring on each one, and pull the opening at the top of the bag over the ring, if that makes sense (so the ring is blocking the opening from the inside).

Moths aren’t so much a concern for me, but I have dealt with carpet beetles and silverfish in the past (several years back), so I’m overly cautious now. I have a bunch of the lavender scented moth bars in my closet, as well as the moth packets, cedar blocks, cedar rings, etc etc.

Wearing last years dark brown cardigan that I picked up in the recent sale, shame my burnt orange was OOS as the turtleneck I got in the same color is really nice. I guess I'll have to resign myself that in S&M I'm an XXL. I picked up a sweat jacket as well (in XL based on the size chart) and it's a great fit but I'm sure after I wash and dry it, it will be tight.

What's the thoughts on leaving the cardigan sweaters unbuttoned? I'd still like to use my XL ones but not sure if that's a bad look.
