Great combination of shirt, jacket, and tie.  Can you provide details on the shirt, specifically the material and the type of collar.  I'll be ordering a few shirts from SM, one being a pale blue dress shirt similar to yours.

You might need to ask Rick about the color, but I believe the collar is full spread.

On the full canvass issue, is it possible to take it a step beyond? Something like a 3-tier approach:

1. Half canvass

2. Full canvass

3. Fully handmade. Including fully hand padded lapels/chest. I'm talking Savile Row / Oxxford quality.

Tom Ford also offers a handmade option through its MTM program, but with a 50% upcharge.

I'd have to ask them about fully handmade. I don't think they are set up to go to that level. I know with full canvas there is quite a bit of handwork included.

Hi Rick,

Will there be unpadded, unstructured jackets coming up in the near future? I want to buy from S&M but the shoulders don't work for me. Not enough space in the shoulder cap which causes divots.

I'm hoping unpadded shoulders will solve that, plus I just like unstructured jackets.

Hi Rick,

Those new ties look really sharp. I'd like to pick up a few but 3.4" ties tend to look a bit too wide on my 5'10" 150lbs frame. Any plans on releasing more ties that are not quite as wide (around 3")?

Thanks

Their older ties are slimmer, 8cm I believe.

Suit is way too short. Suit is too dark to say if you should go with a size up. But you're not a short in SM suits at least

I would definitely go up a size. And I agree, you're probably better off in a regular length. (Although going to a larger size will of course mean the jacket is longer even if you stick with S, so perhaps you'd be okay in that regard.)

Thanks for the feedback guys. Should I get a 38S/R in Slim fit or in the Contemporary fit?

The suit in the pictures is a 36S Contemporary fit. The length is 27.8 inches.

The 38S Slim/Contempt. Fit length is 28.1.

The 38R Slim/Contempt. Fit length is 29.3/29.5.

When I asked about unstructured I meant for suits, as I know you carry sport coats like that
