The Downtown Toronto Location is now official. Lease is signed and set for a March 2016 Opening, in time for Spring. We'll be in the King/Yonge Corridor, so easy access from the financial district.

It is pretty minimal. Should fit basically the same but a bit cleaner through the armhole/bicep.

One question on the change: is the forearm any slimmer? This is one area in which the OTR slim and contemporary are a bit of a problem for me. Despite my slim physique, I find the forearm a bit tight.

That's where a lot of our customers work. Just makes sense to be where your customers already are. But finding that space was a task. So glad we got it though. Now we can really start doing the things we always wanted to try.

Forearm is same. Which size were you finding tight? I know the 16 1/2 Slim had the forearm increased slightly too. The balance sizes stayed the same.

Good to hear the forearm hasn't been brought in. I wear a 15 in OTR and the forearm is the only slight fit issue that I have. (Apart from the waist, which I always assume needs to be darted on OTR shirts.)

Maybe I'm the only one with this issue and I know MTM would solve the problem. I was just curious if OTR would still be an option since I love the pricing and, until your downtown shop opens, it's not convenient for me to visit in person.

Thanks guys for bringing this to our attention. I'll have the tailors look over the patterns to see how we can improve the forearm without making it baggy.

Thanks very much for looking into this. Very responsive.

I'm wearing a contemporary fit today in the same size and the forearm is much better. The most problematic shirt is also a contemporary fit (the seam has actually split slightly on the sleeve placket now) so perhaps I need to be more vigilant about trying things on before deciding to keep them.

Interestingly, the shirt in question is pink and I've had problems in the past with pink shirts (non-S&P) shrinking too much. I'm working with a very small sample size, of course, so it's probably a coincidence but I can't recall any problems with shrinkage in other colours.

This. I have to move cuff buttons to narrow the opening on my Spier shirts now, I don't think I had to do before....

I have a request for future suits/trousers:

1) Increase the size on the thigh and seat of the contemporary trousers. They're pretty snug. By increasing the thigh and seat, but leaving everything else the same, the trousers are still tapered and slim, making them contemporary. Just a thought.

2) Maybe slightly increase the shoulder and chest measurements on the jackets. For example, the 40R on the contemporary suit is a 43.3''. If you have a true 40'' chest (which is assumed for a size 40 suit), that only leaves 3.3'' extra room for the chest, which in my opinion is too small. I would suggest a 44'' chest to be much more comfortable without affecting the look of the suit. An increase in the shoulder by 0.25'' would also do the same.

3) Remove the stitching on the sleeve buttons. I get that they are supposed to mimic working buttonholes, but when sleeves need to be shortened, it can cause problems.
