Good evening,

I want to order a western shirt but since I live overseas and returning the item in case it doesn’t fit is mot an option, how accurate is the size chart?

Looks to me like a generic size chart and not actual measurements from the garment.

I would really appreciate some insight here :)

Thanks in advance

The measurements are garment measurements.
Are they accurate? for the most part, yes.
As long as you're willing to accept that there are manufacturing variations (tolerance).
This means that +/-1.5 cm difference in chest measurement is considered on spec.

This shouldn't be an issue unless you're in between sizes. Then, you'll need to decide if you want to go with the bigger size or the smaller size. For S&M shirts, I believe it's customary for people to go with the bigger size, taking into consideration the shrinkage factor and the fact that slightly bigger can be altered, while the other way around cannot.

Anybody know if S&M has any plans to make dress pants in high rise without pleats? This is the one thing holding me back from buying more of their pants. I feel like some materials just don't work as well with pleats, but their high rise pants are the only ones that are comfortable for me.

I don't think they've ever made flat front high rise dress pants.
They make high rise chinos, though.

My latest order arrived, mostly wanted to try the relaxed fit on pants and classic fit on shirts. Both get a thumbs up from me. No idea why I got the contemporary cargo pants, same fit as regular chinos. I also picked up a second pair of fatigue trousers as those are more or less relaxed fit and I wear them a lot.

Hopefully they will do some of the heavy canvas trousers in the relaxed fit. I wear these a lot as well.

How are people finding the high rise chinos most recently released and currently on sale for 15% off? I ordered their first batch with the thread issue a year or so back where things were coming apart. Have they resolved this? How is the weight of the fabric, suitable for spring/mild summer?

They're average chino weight. 8-9 oz I assume. Three season capable. No problem with the stitching, but the interior waistband button has come off on both the pairs I purchased. Easily replaced but extremely annoying- I think they may have used cotton thread here. Fwiw they're the best-fitting chinos I've ever worn.

For those wanting the suede jackets, they are currently 10% off.

I am wanting one, but unfortunately have to pass for now…

On a more serious note, not sure what intern was tasked with editing the photos from this season, but @ericgereghty might be on to something because the fit of the polos looks pretty bad. Might've gotten a little too eager with some of the tools in Photoshop. The linen cardigans look decent enough for those cooler spring nights.

Comments are hilarious! I noticed they uploaded another set of T- shirts. I could be wrong, but the new more expensive ones seem to be the same fabric as their knit polos from previous seasons.?

Anyway, I enjoy wearing T-shirts so when I pop in the store, I'll check them out
