Mocca Chukkas arrived today. They look great! Will definitely post some pics when I get in good lighting.

I did have a quick sizing question for the group if you all don’t mind helping a shoe novice:

The heel, ball, and pinkie toe edge on these all seem to fit nicely, but I have a full inch between my big toe and the tip of the shoe. Is this too much? I know far too little about shoes admittedly.

@spiermackay

I know it is hard to give fit feedback based on pictures, still I would appreciate your advice. Below I am wearing an unaltered neo 40l SC. If I were to order MTO what changes would you suggest? Do you think size 42 shoulders will be too large?

Thank you in advance.

The shoulders look v good IMO! Slightly extended, to my favoured Florentine taste.

Bearing in mind the peril of analysing fit from a static picture, may I invite you to check on the 2 points below:

1. Is the balance in the front a bit off? You can see the checks don't seem to be horizontal / vertical when buttoned. And the quarters are 'skirting' out when buttoned - a potential sign of front-back imbalance where the front is a bit short to balance with the back.

2. The gorge seems to be proportionately too high, especially in a long jacket (but again, it might be my Florentine taste).

Cheers,

Pretty much all S&M for last nights ballet at the Vienna opera house. Wish I actually got a real pic, but use your imagination. I was very comfortable in this cloth

- VBC flannel neapolitan suit
- last seasons mid blue denim shirt
- charcoal duffel coat

Dropped the medium grey full canvas off at the tailor. I tried it on, obviously and it is quite stunning. A perfect suit.
wore mine for NYE. My tailor was actually really impressed with it, she was asking questions about it when I dropped it off
can you guys elaborate more on the full canvas?

I always hesitate for getting something with full canvas due to the relatively higher cost vs. half-canvas.

Well I only had it on for about 10 minutes, but it just had a nicer cloth than a base level suit, the drape and the Neapolitan cut just felt and looked like a high end suit, and it felt substantial in a good way. Not heavy, definitely 4 season weight.

What's the rise difference between a contemp (10.5" I believe) and some of the high-rise offerings?

Some fine looking sportcoats. A shame none are in the Neo cut. I'd grab at least two otherwise.
