Just a strong preference for jetted pockets in general, but especially so on loud fabrics.

I agree. This fabric is too formal for patch pockets and I don't think it looks that good broken into separates.

Both pairs are 30 contemporary. I think the pictures confirm what I felt when wearing both pairs. The updated cut has a fuller seat, which is mostly visible in the frontal image. The updated cut has more room in the crotch area due to the higher back rise. As a result, they can sit higher on the waist although the measured front rise is the same as the blue pair.

What I don't like about the updated cut is that on my frame they look a bit baggy in the crotch. like they fork really low. This is mostly visible from the front.

I get why S&M updated their cut, but for me it probably means I'll need to do some alteration in the upper thigh area to give the legs more separation. I don't have any other pair in the updated cut so this could be a particular thing of this specific pair. To be determined, I guess.

The pictures on the S&M site are downright repellent. I don’t want to look at the products, because it means looking at those creepy “models”.

Use real models or just take pictures of the clothes to go along with details like fabric weight.

There's a wool/linen jacket from Moon in previews. Never seen any SS offerings from Moon, much less a linen blend. Their retail site has been updated recently as well. They're one of my favorite mills so my interest is piqued.

I think the new cut looks much better. If nothing else, the pleat is laying nice and flat. Also it looks like the old cut is giving a bit of a wedgie. Both are nice!

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, and if it hasn’t things are much worse than I thought, but what is going on with website product photos?

Can anyone comment on product design/execution relative to these insane photos? Haven’t bought any SM tailoring in a couple years.

Have to agree with those of the opinion that the clothes do not look flattering on their new AI models.
