I love my black gios but expect them to fade. That's kinda why I got mine actually, because deep black is very hard to keep so if you have expectations that they will slowly fade you will like them. Also very versatile.

Any experience with fit/quality of Epaulet Rivet Chinos?

My favorite chinos. I had to size up to 36 from 34 and have the waist taken in, but I squat and have big thighs.

They have a nice gentle taper in the calves which is great, I hate the bell bottom look.

Quality is outstanding.

I just got myself a pair of Ralph Lauren Custom Fit Stretch chino.

In comparison to the other slim fit pants I've got - BB Milano, Dockers D1 and Gap Slim Fit. - this RL custom fit is more trim than all 3 for the same size, and the material is nicer.

I have a pair in dark brown and the 31x32 is pretty much a perfect fit for me. Would love to buy a few more pairs in other colours but I can't find anything in this particular style, at this size. Does anyone know if they were discontinued/re-named?

I think you misunderstood me. I have a pair of 484s that are too slim in thighs. I tried a pair of urban slim fits and I found them too baggy (I'm very thin), so I'm looking for something in between these two.
