Slim black D&G sports jacket over distressed gray jeans: is this a good look?

Not a good look. Too many things going on there. Stripes, but solid lapels, different color jeans, ripped jeans, distressed jeans, slim cut. Going for a cleaner look, maybe a slim D&G blazer over slim-fit Dior gray jeans.

I'm not saying that look can't work, but that jacket is totally inappropriate. It's way too Italian dressy snazzy looking. Peak, satin lapels and stripes? A rumpled charcoal sport coat with notched lapels, looking like you'd worn it 1000 times before, could work.

For the same reason why people wear Ed Hardy and Tapout shirts.

and for close to seven hundred dollars the beetle juice coat can be yours boys and girls

All the outfit needs to top it off is some ripped up shoes. Not just slightly ripped i mean like a couple toes poking out and the heels should look like a dogs been chewing on them.

In all seriousness though to the op, i think the outfit is too busy . The jacket with its stripes then satin lapels combined with the overly discoloured and torn jeans is a mess imo. If you would get a more a less wild looking black sport coat and combine it with a pair of grey jeans that arent as beat up then i think it would look great. Its just an issue of toning down the look.

Yeah, this is a pretty terrible jacket. Go with a RL Polo II jacket and look like a legitamite person.

wow truly stupid look. I probably would say that about any combo with torn jeans, though, because I hate them with a passion.
