Gents, how do the EG shanklin suede fit as compared to calf leather? A pair in 8UK suddenly emerged back online and I am seriously tempted.

For me my Shanklins fit the same as my 202 lasted calf Dovers. Like a glove.

I go down a full size fwiw. Size 9D on AE and size 8E on EG 888 and 82. I am sorely tempted by the shanklin but the 202 might be too wide for me and I need it like I need another hole in my head.

I'm also 9D in AE (65). I find 8.5E on EG 888 to be comfortable in width but just a bit long. Never tried 8E, though.

Thanks - so the pair is prob a bit loose for me then, going up half a size for 82 works for me but for the 202 and 606, that would be a bit too much .

That's not a relevant question anymore though - someone else has gratefully snapped that pair away from the skoak website.
