^ Looks good. I hadn't realised the type 6 were so slim cut though.

Cross post from Tuesday:

Quick snap on the commute yesterday - had a play at adding silly filters, but I'm not quite sure it's good enough for the spicy pumpkin challenge :embar:

EG Olive Homespun Bedford FW14
EG Tabcollar shirt FW15
EG Cashmere Tie FW14
EG Wool Cinch FW13
DM Bentley's

Bedford needs a press and the cinch pants might be a tad slim for a bedford,,,

@ManofKent – Think the Cinches work well with the Bedford for your build. I dig the slightly disheveled, unfussed-with vibe of the Bedford, as well.

That fit is sweet @ManofKent
. And yeah... Type 6 pretty slim indeed.

Thanks - I'd assumed for some reason they'd be more of a regular straight.

Thanks - found a NOS pair of dark grey cinches on Rakuten yesterday from a few seasons back that look a little looser cut (and in a 38! compared to these in a 36) and couldn't resist the gamble...

Love that fit @ramdomthought . As bizarre as it seems, I honestly usually like EG the most when it's one or two pieces worn with other brands. Also that sweater is sweet.

Agreed. Doing all EG well requires you to have either very specific outfits or a lot of it to choose from. They make a ton of really boring pieces every season (which people tend to gravitate toward) and the aesthetic is more nuanced than most people give it credit for. There isn't a ton of visual depth to the collection and it flatness can be hard to work with – hence why @ramdomthought's Universal Works marled sweatshirt and faded jeans are so striking against the totally flat Bedford.

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
