Just a thought, but perhaps Daiki is winding down his involvement with EG?
The previous 3 collections seemed sort of a homecoming to how he got into clothing (i.e. Ivy, Comme) and I'm just curious how someone follows that up creatively, because to me it seems like a book-end. Which is maybe why the latest Spring season seems a little dull? If that were the case, I would probably want to collaborate heavily with brands and partners I admire before then.
This seems plausible tbh. The brand doesn’t seem to be going anywhere considering they just expanded their retail footprint to LA. I wonder who will take over if he indeed does step down.

So many collabs. Hopefully this isn't another unusable watch like the Timex one from a few years ago.

I bought the Hamilton x EG watch last week.
I was after a 36mm mechanical watch in the Explorer/Ranger style, in Titanium, not too expensive, and it really ticked all the boxes.
I like EG so it was a big plus.
Dimension: 36mm.
Thickness: 10.8mm.
H10 automatic movement.
Saphirre with anti-reflective coating.
Titanium case and bracelet.
Half transparent back case.
100m water resistant.
Super Luminova hands and indices.

They seem to have been fairly aggressive expanding for the last few years. imo it has become a "brand" in the bad sense now, bottom line top priority. I'm sure the enterprise value has increased for a potential sale at some point but not sure this has helped the consumer.

As noted the endless collaborations to expand their scope, cheaper plastic fabric appearing with regularity in conjunction with a rising price point. I feel like the value in their products has just about eroded. Suppose with the high amount of stockists the end of sale discounts are aplenty so you can find some value but personally hard to get excited about this brand anymore.

Maybe I'm just getting a bit old and grumpy though, don't mean to ruin fun for others. I do own a few EG pieces from previous collections that I still wear and enjoy.
