Just think about how you intend to wear the shirt and size accordingly @jm22
Thanks @gettoasty , what's really throwing me off more than anything is if I can get away with a size L if they shoulder to shoulder measurements of the shirt is 0.5" less than what I usually wear. If it's too long I can always get it altered.

If you plan to wear the shirt more casually the large should be fine.

Otherwise, size up. IMO you may be happier sizing up over the long term.

I’ve thought about replacing all my size mediums with large plenty of times FWIW.

Re: hat talk. This is what I want. No idea what it’s called or what to search. It’s gotta be some kind of felted wool, wide brim, structured, no accoutrements. Something in a cream, tan, grey...
JJVE and CDG have done similar things in the past but I only remember black ones. I’m not really worried about brand name on it though and I feel like it’s something I could probably find at some basic women’s store.
She was too quick and then I lost her so I couldn’t ask.

Nonnative Laborer is real close but has a higher crown. Norse Projects did a hat several seasons ago (which I personally own) that also is really close.

Could always make something to order to ensure you get exactly what you want tho.
