Do some people not suit black boots? Seem so innocuous but I’ve been a sinful footwear-lighter-than-trousers person for so long (usually neutral suede side zips... Guidi white boots are the end goal) that trying to integrate some black suede Buttero boots is proving weirdly tricky

This makes more sense to me but not everyone has your resources to go that route. @notwithit yiu should do this instead.
im going for the perfect pair of black side zips right now. getting a pair of bespoke ones through a former lobb lastmaker.

photo of my boots pattern being cut right now. leather is unobtanium horse leather from the soon-to-be-closed clayton tannery

black boots are easy. Just start wearing them and they will seem less weird to you.

Personally, I do not wear any black. I have a fairly ruddy skin tone (I am maybe 1/8 native american and tan easily), and have coppery-colored hair, and green eyes, and it just looks off. Plus, I feel like it doesn't fit my cheery disposition.

So, as it stands right now, aside from a black tie bowtie, and a black belt, I do not have a single black garment in my entire wardrobe.

I used to swear off black clothing, etc. (except black dress shoes and black tie) when I was exclusively on the CM side of this website. I used to think wearing mainly black or all black was a cop out. Over time, as my interests have changed, I have incorporated a lot of black into my wardrobe.

I've spent so much time and money experimenting with pastels/earth tones/saturated colors/natural dyes and only to realize that I just look better in black.

navy suit, white shirt, black shoe, can't imagine it would go wrong on anyone (might be a bit boring, but that's different story)
