Sometimes items are on sale for a reason. I can see the appeal, but there's a weird vibe from it.

Funny enough I actually love the sashiko back (11 by BBS had a few jackets with the same sort of tonal embroidery a few seasons back and they were my favorite pieces they've made), but I really don't like the distressing on the front placket and all that...a bit too #fashion for me.

FWIW, if the fit works for you (it doesn't for me), JE's thumper/terrain jackets are, I think, some of the best fashion denim jackets on the market these days. They're pretty much the only thing the brand has made that I've liked in years, but they seem to do some good work with washes and textures.

I agree about liking the panel, but not the distressing. The color of the denim also isn't great. It's that weird almost stonewashed color.

Picked up that same coat in a 40 at the end of 2016 for $360. Fit me a little snug and the stitches on one of the lapels were coming undone so I returned it. Hope it's not the same one.

Try wearing the shirt unbuttoned over a tank or something, it does look a bit odd on that fitpic but I think it's just the slim body.
