I’m with DWW on length for that Margiela coat.

I always thought the archetypal casentino orange was more like the orange here, but I can’t say I’ve looked at Pitti photos very much. I’ll give color a bit more thought.

Should I get a Casentino balmacaan like it's still 2013? And if so, which color (or neither, and just go for the crazy cream colorway, which I didn't post a photo of)?

Looks fine to me, I just think limiting yourself to a few pieces of signature outerwear is a better move/look but I guess I dunno how many you have.

BTW AFAIK the "real" hue of the historical signature colour is slightly closer to red but maybe I am mistaken.

There's a photo of Antonio Mannina wearing Casentino in that color. He looks great in it, but he's also level ten handsome.

I don’t actually have a ton of jackets/outerwear — see below. Plus a Kapital ring coat in khaki wool in the mail (may pick up another ring coat instead of the balmacaan). Hard to justify a ton of outerwear in the Bay Area.

-Norwegian Rain single-breasted in navy
-Nonnative logger knit gown in charcoal
-Hill Side x Browns Beach tailored jacket (never wear this)
-Kaptain Sunshine wool sportcoat in navy
-Blue Blue Japan sashiko chore coat
-Eidos medallion print sportcoat

Limiting yourself to a few signature pieces of outerwear seems like the better and more responsible move, but I'm for buying stuff you don't even know how to wear and see where it takes you. Sometimes you stumble upon great things that way and find new avenues to explore. Doesn't do much for that whole minimalist, "create a signature look" approach, but it's super fun. Only downside is that it can get expensive, but you can also recoup most of your costs now through eBay and Grailed.

Well I have over twenty pieces of outerwear (in theory, some of my friends borrow, I need to get my RO leathers back :()) but I move around wildly different climates. This is over quite a few yrs and I am counting very light pieces.

Hi,

I really like the silhouette and the cut of this trouser, but not sure if I should get it or not. For Shoes I got CP, MMM GATS and stan smith that I believe will work with the pants. Planning to get some oversized sweater and jacket for winter. Will these item work well with the trouser? Any suggestions. Thanks

I like them. If you're confident you've got a couple of pieces that will pair well with them go for it.

Those Homme Plisse are actually surprisingly easy to wear, although I think they work better with hi tops (chucks, mercurials, magistrates...) than any of the lows you mentioned.
