Are the John Varvatos Boots on Gilt sold anywhere else or are they made just for Gilt?

The reverse calfskin, I could agree it is a bit grunge done in a nicer way (if that makes sense) but their other offerings are great.

Those boots were available at department stores that carried JV shoes. Those boots are also wider compared to most PS boots.

While were on JV boots discussion, I've had my eye on the Ago Laceless Boots.
Yay or nay?

why not just get a regular chelsea? i'm also looking for laceless shoes, but with the chelsea gore at the side and the laceless, it feels too gimmicky. if the elastic gore wasn't there then i would go for it

I've seen them at Neiman Marcus and Barneys, in-store. They might have been last season so it might be more difficult to find in-store.

The brown ones are available at Barneys.com right now actually: http://www.barneys.com/Norvegian%20B...efault,pd.html

Except retail on the one at Barneys is only $398 while GILT states the retail on the ones they are selling are $425 and I am almost certain it is the exact same boot.

yeah, it seems gimmicky but I like the overall look. The distressing, the laceless look and the band on the sides, I just like the overall look.

I also like JV's laceless wingtips.

I guess you're right, everything else looks the same though, from the stitching and overall design.

They are similar, but the Barneys one seems more distressed.

I think the one from Gilt is also distressed, it's just a darker pic so it's not as noticeable. JV rarely makes shoes that aren't distressed. Again, I could be wrong though and maybe the ones I have tried on were the one from Barneys and not the same one from Gilt.

I just bought a pair in black and a pair in brown anyway.
I hope they work out.
