Hey, remember when I was banned?
hey!!! you stole my location for your title that's no fair!
THIS. In Stiches, you're like a new kid who comes to school from out of town. Everyone's not sure what to make of you yet, don't know if you're cool. So you try to win their affection by memorizing their birthdays and names of family members and then talking nonstop. Everywhere. Just blathering on. Now some people feel sorry for you, so they humor you (their numbers will gradually dwindle, but a few core people will forever remain, you'll become their mascot of sorts). The rest of the people will avoid you like the plague. You'll soon be left talking to only freshman and the handful of saintly people who will tolerate you because it makes them feel like nice people.
Stitch, I'm going to go ahead and quote this so you can read it again, because I don't think you're getting it. All kidding aside, this whole thing has become really creepy. It's one thing to try to fit in with everyone, but it's another entirely to obsess over the minutiae of the membership here. I did you a favor when I derailed this thread - it gave you the chance to let it go - but you keep pushing. Just stop it.
I can certainly understand the sentiment of posts like this. OTOH, for new members to be able to actually understand what the hell is actually being said can, at times, be very challenging. I think threads like this make for a nice Cliff's Notes version of some of the more memorable things that have happened here.
In Stitches now is light years better than In Stitches a week or two ago.
Yes, Matt and I's posts were strongly worded, but eventually they, with others, had the desired effect. Social norms have to be enforced somehow.
don't start with slim. not good.
Anyone else remember the time TS gave up on an argument? It was great.
