Hey guys,

Wondering what the current market perception of True Religion is. I understand they are more of a fashion brand. Are you guys still seeing people willing to snatch up TR for $300 a pair or is this brand starting to fade?

i dont know about the market perception but ill tell you my perception...

theyre ****, junk, abhorrid, make anyone look like a try hard douchebag... but at the same time i support people buying them cause it just makes me look that much cooler... how any grown man can think he would look good with button flaps is just...... well.... its just simply thought provoking..

tell you the truth i think beautiful women with great asses can wear whatever they want but im even starting to call them out in my head for wearing this ****... i wish theyd save some money and buy some cool raw unisex denim and let it form fit to their ass.... i dont think ive even seen one female in my area wearing raw denim... wtf? i thought they were supposed to know about style more than men...?

Change "female" to "human being" and you've probably described more than a handful of people on this board.

I used to really dig TR's back in, like, 2004-2005. But over the years I've simply grown tired of that brand; my tastes have changed since then.

These days I find their signature double stitching and HUGE back pockets a tad bit tacky & over-the-top. I believe that these gaudy design elements are what has attracted the hip hoppers lately, as the hip hop market tends to appreciate anything loud and flashy.

I've been wearing my Regular Ralphs (Nudie) lately...those, my Levi's 501 and my Zathans (Diesel).

Spot on! i couldn't agree more. i used to love True Religion jeans (non bottom flap back pocket models), but now with the guadiest and tackiest of people wearing them and their stores popping up EVERYWHERE I am very turned off from the brand and truthfully do not see buying another pair.

I like AG Adriano Goldschmied

I'm thinking that maybe the TR stock is a good short. The american consumer is strapped and they won't spend $$$ on yesterday's brands.

And Studio27.....**** off. My "true religion market perception and current sales trends" search just wasnt all that effective. Maybe I should have thoroughly read every post on this page from pages 1 to 5000. Plus, I want peoples' responses today, not old posts.

Forums are for making posts. I didn't exactly make a post like the one I saw the other day, "What makes a good shoe".

Stop your whining. I have used the Mens Clothes forum for 4+ years and have cumulatively seen less people cry about posts than I see in a week here. If you make a bad thread, no one will reply and it will fall to the back of the list. Whats the big deal?

Any info on ladies' impressions of them? I assume womens jeans are their big sellers. When their opinions change, theyll do poorly

they only look even half decent, if that, on muscle guys

something about the extra wide seams and exaggerated embellishments looks stupid and out of proportion on skinny guys

Boo hoo hoo. I guess the internet must be running out of space heh? Didn't know, I apologize.

You forum-nazis should really relax a bit. Try wearing your streetwear and deinim somewhere than in front of your computer. OCD really is in full effect here.

I think Stitch's work on the right guy, paired with the right pieces.
