Yep — dark navy and khaki (a tobacco-like military melange colour).

Great. It's not the same cloth, but it is fairly similar — a bit hairier, more mottled, less green.

It is indeed a minefield.
Overtly military attire similarly seems a bit tasteless given current world affairs, but maybe I'm too sensitive.

To do some grave-digging in Kelly’s cellar here: I find that greatcoats per se are… great (there, I said it), and can be worn casually, but only if they do not look too militaristic, and Kelly has done a great job in recreating this staple of British classic.
Fwiw I have an RAF coat that can be worn on a daily basis as well, I have exchanged the brass buttons for horn buttons though. The colour of the super-thick fabric is just beautiful to me. Ok, the lapels are pretty wide.

That's a beautiful coat.

Yes — you can see that our greatcoat has a similar front, although the gorge on ours is lower.

We have a dispatch coat in (very gradual) development that is much the same, but has a full stand between the collar and the front, so it looks even more extreme.

Well, is that really what one would call an Ulster collar I wonder? To me the lines between those coats (Great coat, Ulster, British warm, Balmacaan) are always very narrow when it comes to collars. But I am far from being an expert in this field.

We call them Ulster collars in a broad sort of way — the same as our Ulster and peacoat. But the greatcoat and dispatch coat ones often have a steeper angle, which looks more smart (probably just by association) and are protective against the elements to the maximum extent. We don't have a name for them as such.

Moleskin, this time around, in mid-brown and dark blue. A mid-weight quality of the cloth which is quite a good all-rounder.

Hello, I would be interested in any history or information about this particular model jacket. From the tag, it appears it's from Autumn-Winter 2014 and was sold at Beams in Japan. The seller said it has a tweed exterior and a red felt interior. What kind of jacket is it? The seller says it's a fisherman's jacket or a farmer's jacket? And any details about the tweed and why it's deserving of its own labeling? (Though London Cloth Company does seem very impressive: https://www.instagram.com/londonclothco/?hl=en) Many thanks!

That's what we called the "collarless jacket" and is a sort of precursor, in concept at least, to the https://sehkelly.com/engineer.

We were asked to make a collection for International Gallery BEAMS in Tokyo.

There was the collarless jacket, trench coat, some trousers, and I think one other item, for maybe the AW15 season, or thereabouts. They all featured lining of Royal Guards red woollen melton, and the outer cloth for each piece was made by London Cloth Company.
