Thank you very much, as always.

I really like the idea of the pockets on the gansey. I didn’t notice them if they were included on any previous versions.

The engineer jacket will be interesting to see with the reversed Bedford. I admired the cotton panama version on the site for a long time but I wasn’t confident about how I would wear it.

The pockets are new to the gansey. The crewneck had such pockets for quite a few years but the way they're achieved on the gansey is slightly more refined (and made easier by the lighter knit) and it seems to work well.

The engineer jacket has undergone quite a few changes, so while the fundamental construction is the same, and likewise the (no) collar, the body is shorter and the pockets are quite different. It must've been 5-6 years since we last developed it and it is fun to go back to earlier designs and apply what we've learned in the years since.

I have a brand new trucker in black corduroy, size M that just showed up today. Unfortunately it is a little tighter than I would like. If there is anyone out there in the Bay Area (California) that would be interested let me know and we can arrange something. Trying to avoid shipping it back if possible.

Hey Paul,
Is there a chance that the grey peacoat will come back next year? Furthermore, when does SEH Kelly usually release a new colour?
Cheers

What are your normal measurements that this was too small?

The peacoat — no, sorry. We will likely make it again in dark navy late next year, but at this stage, no other colours are planned or expectation.

And as for a new colour, if you mean the peacoat, then it tends to be every couple of years. We generally make the dark navy and then one other colour. Not every time, but perhaps every other time.

An 18" generally works for me I think the shoulders were okay definitely one thing to note is that the cloth is very thick and substantial without much flex so I think that also may have contributed to the woes

Ah I see, yeah I'm right at the edge of a medium or a large. Unfortunately I think I would be in the same boat as you.

If you're close enough you can give it a try, no harm in trying as long as you're not coming from a long ways away

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
