I'm not a rum and cola drinker either, but this is a little different than the standard so it's not bad once in a while. The El Dorado 5 mixes pretty well, agreed.

Reviving this thread…

Drinking a pour or 2021 Hampden Great House.

Floral, fruit nose
Peppery, spicy, vanilla, cinnamon taste
Decent finish, grassy notes, coats tongue well too

it’s pretty powerful at 55%. Major palette fatigue after this one

Excited to participate. Next day off will get into some rum… been mostly bourbon as of late. Need to pivot to some rum!

New member here so I figured I’d bump an old thread rather than start a new one, a buddy got me into Tiki/rum drinks a little over a year ago and I haven’t looked back, being primarily a scotch and martini drinker before this I must say I am a huge fan of Tiki drinks, when done right they are a lot of work to make but they are worth it. Added bonus is good rum is first cheap compared to scotch.

The little corner of our basement the wife has let me use as my Tiki Bar storage area (not all rum/tiki ingredients here, some additional bottles they are in high rotation have migrated down here from our main liquor cabinet).
