No, at least not by me. And I've tried to contact Styleforum several times to have them delete it, but no response or anything.

I think, given that the original poster wishes it deleted. And I imagine Robinson's wishes it deleted. And given that Robinson's handled it admirably. It should be deleted. Or even better, the title and original post ammended. I'm sure the blogger/writer will feel good having effected change.

@emptym

What say you?

Wow, this is every small business owners nightmare. @LA Guy, is it possible to delete this thread or alter the thread name? Since the OP and the business owner have settled this.

We typically do not delete threads, but I'd be happy to amend the OP and thread name.

It would be great if you could do this. I know the owner and staff of Robinson's Shoes will be delighted. Change the thread name to something without the stores name, and at least add an edit note that everything was settled between me and the store soon after the OP. Thanks!

Edit: Saw that you already changed the thread name, nice, maybe even better without the store name, but I understand why you named it the way you did.

It still comes up as 'warning for robinson's shoes' on Google.

It always takes Google time to reindex things, which is why you want to get things right before submitting a new website, for example.

Why the hell would you delete the thread?
Isn't this page accessible to the Public? You don't have to be a member to read what is written here.

Someone sees the google result, they read the thread, they see that the problem was resolved and they can then make their decision on whether or not to buy the shoes.

They didn't delete the thread, which was a good choice imho. But surely you can see why it's a good idea to change the title?

One of the benefits of the internet, imo, is that it makes retailers and vendors accountable to their customers. It gives some degree of power to the powerless. If we have a reasonable suspicion that a negative review is being written by a competitor, or otherwise falls under the definition of libel, we delete those reviews. However, I do not find at all compelling the argument that a negative review can damage a business, and therefore a poster of such a review should be held responsible for any financial losses by that company, if that review was written in good faith and honestly. My message to businesses: treat every customer, in every instance, as though they were their most favored customer.

We only delete those posts that allege actual criminal misconduct that has not been proven in a court of law. Bad customer service is not, AFAIK, criminal.
