can anyone who has experience with n hoolywood comment on their wool/poly blend? i'm looking at a knit and a cardigan that are both wool/poly blends and they look nice but obviously i can't look at it first hand. i know poly doesn't always mean bad but i don't know much about it either

Not that straight-forward unfortunately. Some require sizing up more than one.

Aw man. There's one on mr porter in a 52 but it only has a 40" chest. I know it's a knit but that still seems way small for a 52.

Ordered Raf derbies in 41 and 42. Former were too small, latter too big. WTF.

i sized down one and they felt tight at first, i think because the vamp comes down so sharply on the forefoot. they've loosened up though, fit is perfect now

So 42's plus sole inserts? I think more people should take a look at these. Not quite as shiny as the Raf's, but the price/quality equation is pretty amazing.

They were tight all over - no room behind my heel at all, but toes were definitely worse off. They may have stretched, but I didn't want to risk it.

Thought about this, but I paid retail and for that price didn't want to have to ghetto rig a decent fit, plus I think there was too much heel slippage for inserts to help anyway. If I snagged them from the LNCC sale I probably would have gone that route.

I actually considered the shoes you linked to, but decided against them due to the stitching.

Story Et Fall dude sent me some pics of the chelsea in the tan suede with welt sole.... Looks pretty ******* rad (he asked me not to distribute the photos or I would obv post them). $200 shipped seems like a no-brainer. I just don't know whether to go with the chelsea or jodhpur
