Reminds me of those stories about Soviet factories producing all the right shoes, and then not getting quite the count right, no pun intended, on the corresponding left shoes.

Unrelated, but I wanted to ask you -- do you get much wear out of your blue leather jacket? I can't remember who made it, but I saw a photo of you in one and really liked it. Kind of want to get another leather jacket, but not in brown or black. Any thoughts on that navy piece you have? Also, do you find any other colors useful? Been kicking around the idea of getting something in dark green.

It's an Aero Sonoma, which has slanted chest pockets, a western back yoke, and is based on a vintage riding shirt. I haven't been wearing it as much as I did last year, but not because I don't like it, just because I've been doing this outerwear over outerwear thing, and it is too bulking to fit under my Stephan Schneider coat. It is made for "waxy blue" cowhide. The color is supe ruseful for me, since I am always in blues and greys, and it is in a tone that matches well with both of those, and with indigo denim with dark low tones, another staple of my wardrobe. I think that you might also consider the Aero board racer, which is slimmer. You are a considerably smaller guy than me, and the cowhide is actually a bit thicker than the same weight horsehide, so the more minimal board racer, which also has narrow shoulders, might work better for you.

Dark green is great, but whether or not you get a lot of use out of it would depend on your wardrobe. It wouldn't work for my blue-cnetered wardrobe, but i you are wearign a lot of black, a dark green or olive could look great.

Care to elaborate?
After hearing all about TOJ clustercuss in this thread there's no way I'm going over there to see what you're talking about. Besides, I have zero interest in TOJ.
It just seems like Riri have exploded in the last 2 years and if they aren't Riri then your product must suck.

It was a joke, as zippers have been discussed at great length, Drew even made a hitler video, which I can't find.

Thanks. I was thinking about seeing how the Vanson x Junya cafe racer thing pans out. I might still get that in black, but a blue leather jacket sounds really nice.

MMM had a 5-zip last season in blue. Somewhat regret I didn't get it.

I've always wanted to see a comparison between Excella, RiRi, Lampo, and Raccagni.

They are all good zippers. I personally think that specialists, like Talon, are best for items in their niche market.

Incidentally, we are going to have an email newsletter. @Synthese is the head writer and editor-in-chief. Other writers will include Professor Fabulous, as channelled by @rach2jlc , and @unbelragazzo .

The material will not be available on Styleforum until a month after the newsletter has been published, so it might be worth your while to read our newsletters. And if you are not subscribed to receive emails from Styleforum, now might be a good time.

iirc, that newsletter will come out Nov 24.

Cheers,

Fok.

sneaker heads rejoice! I told you I was diving into the deep end and am going to crush it. Well I think I have. Here are some samples that are shipping to me from Italy's best sneaker factory. We have been working hard and for along time on this project. Rewards members are going to flip the **** out.
Feel free to post on other forums or threads.
