Honestly, at this point, it'd probably be best to just own up that the contest and its subsequent prizes came at a very different point in his professional career. I only know what I've witnessed on the forum, but it's clear that the last 12 or so months have been filled with some serious peaks and valleys for him and his business/label.

Honestly, it reminds me of how my own little eBay business has dwindled in the same time frame to the point where I can barely muster the effort to keep adding to it. It sucks, because it's something I spent a great deal of time cultivating and nurturing. But then it gets to that point where the writing is on the wall and it's time to move on to a different endeavor. The key, of course, is to maintain professionalism and tie up any loose ends before you clean your hands of it entirely.
