It seems like people find one thing and stick with it, but where are the railroad workers by day who are Goth ninjas at night?

I'm a lawyer so all conservative business dress during the work week, and then total 180 with my weird **** on the weekends.

the shah is really 63? As i get a little older and my beard starts to grey, I find that I'm more comfortable in the crazier clothes I like to wear. Older guys tend to look more comfortable in clothes that are outside the norm. @the shah, @berlin report, @ManofKent, and @Gerry Nelson are all great examples.

And, by 'older', I mean older than 23.

Who dares wake me from my slumber?

It's all a ruse, he's a nudist. Doesn't even own any clothes.

I only exist on the internet. This is the correct answer.

Random Recent, Stupid, and Pointless Observations List of Some Randomly Picked StyleFarmers:

1. @the shah is 63 and dresses better than you. Take a day to let that sink in. I'll be your kaishakunin when the inevitable shame overwhelms you and you need to redeem your SF honuru.

2. @sinnedk makes a lot of bad, tasteless jokes or facepalm worthy/utterly pointless comments. Sometimes these things overlap. Something something lack of self-awareness something.

3. @Synthese wears black. Often. He writes lies to sell editorial pieces on SF. Don't trust the man. He even made fanfic of me. Is this a man you can trust? No you can't. Don't be surprised if you see that his next piece is for The National Inquirer.

4. @shoreman1782 is still an enigma, who's apparently been here since Pepperidge Farm remembers (join date 7/2004? sup grandpa). What does working for the DMV entail other than pointlessly bureaucratic procedure-making? I miss his pimpBart avatar.

5. @g transistor disappeared for two years after making an insightful post about stylefarmers, only to come back as an actual farmer. The prodigal son returns?

6. @spacepope insert line item here huehuehue.

7. @jet will never make his baller t-shirt line. He's been playing the long con.

8. @KaleidoscopicK has become one of us. (oneofusoneofus). Time to upgrade that manga avatar to a kpop avatar gogoshing.

9. @kindofyoung looks kind of old for his age. Sorry bub.

10. Safe spaces are still stupid.

I'm honored to have been included in this list, nahneun-san.

So am I the only one going for the Alejandro Sosa/Tony Montana Tropical Coke Dealer aesthetic?

https://techcrunch.com/2016/12/05/amazon-go/

:)

"Customers use the Go app to enter the store, and once inside, some combination of sensors, computer vision and deep learning keep track of what’s taken off and returned to shelves inside a virtual cart. Once finished, the shopper just walks out and the company charges their Amazon account, along with a receipt."

far too kind for what is an inevitable consequence of circumambulating the sun so many times. there are, however, plenty of benefits

This discussion on the weirdness of internet clothing forums reminds me, I was lurking on a militaria forum a while ago (milsurp nerd that i am).

It seems common there track down various parts of a period correct uniform, put them together on a mannequin and then photograph it in your basement / garage. All these badly photographed mannequins dressed in uniform seemed pretty weird to me, but then on reflection I figured those guys would probably find SW&D guys taking selfies dressed as apocalyptic cowboys just as odd.
