I like how that very first guy in the beige sweater careens into the store as if he is about to win The Amazing Race.

The people who attempted to maintain some semblance of dignity by moving at a normal pace have my respect and sympathy in equal measure.

My favourite [embarrassing] fashion event video, however, is still this:

Watch from the beginning if you want all the vacuous crowd shots and Wang's pompous video appearance.
Or skip to 1:30 for the slow-mo mob entrance, which could easily be from a Hollywood comedy.
By 2:00 you can witness customers facing off over (free) "T by Wang" like wild beasts defending a kill to the genial tones of narration by David Attenborough; the presentation of the footage does not hesitate to emphasize their indignity.

I feel like Wang just did that to make fun of the plebes, why else would you have a camera crew? On another note, black friday is coming up. Lots more videos of the masses swarming into WalMart and such to come.

Is there anyone who doesn't think the BalmainxH&M collab is a gaudy mess?

It's pretty big in the Danish news, mainly because it's probably a good story to tell how 15 year olds get almost 4k USD from their parents for skipping school for three days. Judging from the interviews the queue seems to be made up entirely of people around 15-16 skipping school.

There's a £50 bracelet that's up to £780 on ebay right now, and a dress that's hit £6k.

Yes but this is only to drive up the publicity of it all, and create a lot of buzz and context for zero content blog posts. Those won't be paying bidders. This happens every time there is something hyped.

If resellers want that much for pieces why wouldn't you just buy mainline balmain? After all, it's still ******* H&M.

Balmain seems pretty dead in the water ever since Hedi joined SLP. Might be a good time to pick up a pair of biker jeans, still want some..

I don't think Balmain is dead - according to a sales associate friend, Bergdorf sells a ton of Balmain every Friday. They then get it all back as returns on Saturday.
