The guy has investment in many stuffs (eg: steel company, ecstasy). I'm not so sure that fashion is his main source of wealth. Maybe just recently. But I'm certain that Plein must have good backers, probably not the traditional kind since he claimed to have none bank debt whatsoever.

Missed this when it surfaced, Vexed Generation (mid 90s-early 00s UK brand with cyberpunk-ish design philosophy) is being revived for SS18.

For those who missed the first coming of Vexed Generation, can you tell us a little bit about the brand?

Joe Hunter: We took urban surveillance, civil liberty, air pollution and The Criminal Justice Bill, as it was at the time, as our brief. We wanted people to be able to have as much mobility as they could in a city, and we wanted to maintain anonymity if people required it, and we also wanted people to have elements of protection, so we chose our fabrics very carefully. We were using high-tenacity ballistics made by a mill up north who were producing specifically for the MOD. And we tried to create some utilitarian garments and accessories which did all of what I first described. But more than necessarily the protection element of it, it was designed to promote and provoke debate.

Huh?? So the dudes that were selling nerd hoodies through the forums here ten years ago used to be a real brand??

Hmm...this would be before my time. I remember reading about the brand a couple years ago, seemed interesting. Almost bought a jacket off ebay at the time.

Who knows maybe someone will reboot Nom de Guerre next :)

Yeah there was a guy selling their 'ninja hoodies' or something like that around 2009, Vexed Generation had already folded by then I think.
@melonadejello Vexed Generation is pretty famous though, major forerunner to the whole urban techwear thing

remember those are some of the more extreme stylised pieces, like margiela dolls clothes or whatever. i had a parka that i gave to a friend in the early 2000s, he is a totally non-fashion guy and im pretty sure it has been his only coat for over a decade, i saw him a couple of years ago and the thing still looks great.

It's going to be raining for nearly the whole week here in NZ. I think I'll just wear my Norwegian Rain Moscow every day.

Born and raised in Auckland, but prefer the weather in Chicago. Americans think I'm crazy, NZers just think I'm going to get shot.
