I find them to be between meh and disappointing.

From my experience, the worse ones have been pre-Galliano. The ones with super thin soles and overall low profile. The better ones are the Galliano-era Campus boots.

Bad ones are cheap leathers and/ or corrected grain leathers. Corrected grain is the worst of the two, but you can tell in photos if the leather is shiny. The Campus boots, of the ones I've tried, have been printed/ textured leathers, suedes, and treated leathers (like waxed or something). I think that allows them to not have to cover the top of the leather with some kind of plastic-y coating.

Quality can be a bummer for the price, but you're mostly buying them for the design. I like them enough to own a few pairs.

Do you know how sizing runs on the current campus boots?

I'd say pretty TTS, took the same size as my vans Old Skools and all my Nikes. Also, they are suede on the inside so completely impossible to put on if they are too small, and a pain in the butt when the correct size.

edit: Also I found the sole really hard and had to buy a thin insole for comfort. They are also absurdly loud on hardwood floors, I still love them tho.

My light-grey ones are definitely pre-09, one of the few leather-covered-heels I've seen, I ******* love these and the leather is awesome (thick, supple with a waxy finish) but the bottoms are falling apart (leather and heel detaching from sole).

Brown pair are the ones with the lower heel, really thin soles and super-low-profile toebox, leather seems corrected (still thick but not very malleable and has plasticky finish), they're doing ok but are the least worn and already have permanent crackly-creases and had to replace 1-zipper (ykk) when it broke.

Black pair are the ones with the normal heel and sole, these are doing better than the other 2, leather seems thinner but aging well however these fit tight and the leather-lining at the back is starting to rip apart.

With all that said, I'll likely buy, at least another black pair, again.

I went TTS. They're snug at first but break in. And agree they're loud. I think the heels are made from reconstituted leather instead of stacked leather.

Anyone know the sizing of Brunello Cucinelli trainers and do they run true to size?

I felt bad for him when he was simply a misguided forum member. I can't imagine how painful it would be to live in his head.

Funny you guys mention the Replica campus boots. I ordered a pair on YOOX a while back and it was the worst Margiela boot I’ve ever tried on. The leather felt like pleather and the sizing was a bit weird (never had a sizing problem with Margiela footwear) so I was surprised by that
