Paul Stuart is I think on 45th a couple blocks from the Carmina shop, but he is a SF dude who now has his own Carmina shop. There is a Crockett and Jones shop in Manhattan

Not a whole lot more to add,
but Alden Madison and Moulded shoe are close enough to each other you could visit each and dial in sizing for a variety of lasts if needed.

Blue in Green SoHo on top of S&S (BiG might have a few different things than S&S)

Really depends on what you’re looking for as you could end up all over the city although SoHo might be the most condensed for a lot of things.

Yeah, don’t forget NMWA! 🙃

Ven.space is a must

If you want to try on the Alden Modified last, why not go to Alden directly?
Also would consider
Carmina
Leffot
Standard & Strange
Self Edge
Wythe

Thank you all. I appreciate it.

I'll add all of the suggested stores to a shared map and post it here.

Going to be in NYC tomorrow through Friday and I have some time on my hands which means money will be slipping out of them.

Is there a shared NYC google map with menswear stores? Here's what's on the potential list:
  • RL Mansion
  • RL Broadway
  • The Armoury
  • CHCM
  • colbo
  • 18 East
  • Crowley Vintage
  • Noah
  • Nepenthes
  • Moulded Shoe (need to try the Alden modified last)
  • Buck Mason
If you can think of others, please let me know. I would love to add a few more vintage stores to the list.

If there isn't a shared map. I'll start one and make it public.

For vintage, in addition to Crowley Stock Vintage is supposed to be pretty cool. She lends out garments for film and TV and for the RL design team.

J Press - I only mention since coming from the Bay Area you probably haven't had cause to stop by one.

Aimé Leon Dore if you want to see a Porsche and some overpriced threads. They have a "cafe" next door.

Anthony Aiden for Jacques Marie Mage frames.

Not sure if you're into fragrances, but

- Frederic Malle (either Greenwich or UES)
- Scentbar - I haven't been to this location but if it's anything like LA, it's well-stocked
-
Stéle - A fun shop in Williamsburg focused on indie brands
- Elorea - Korean brand that launched recently; has a cool coffeeshop in the back

On a different topic, I've had cause to reflect on sizing lately, both in terms of what's offered by shops and as regards sizing advice, and it's got me wondering: what's the average size of Styfo members?

I'm fairly certain that at 6'3" and ~250 lbs I'm an outlier, but it would be interesting to confirm that.

I've created a shared map with all of the menswear stores in New York City in the discussion above. Anyone with the following link can edit. Please feel free to add stores that are missing but use your power wisely.

Thanks again.

5' 9", ~150-155 lbs depending on how much I've eaten that month. Despite being the US national average, I'm consistently a size small in everything I wear, and attempts to size up to a medium only make me feel exceptionally lithe compared to the average American.

Since you mentioned RL and The Armoury, I'd also throw in Sid Mashburn and maybe Kamakura, although they only do MTM and try-ons at their store.

A little under 5’11”, about 170-180 pounds depending on the month. Typically wear size 40/50 or Medium.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
