Quality of Gucci Shoes

In silver they look a bit silly but in black there's nothing jester like about them.

That's the gamble, unfortunately. I have a pair of retail $490 Pradas and $695 Valentino shoes, both of whose shape and styling is very appealing, but the soles are glued on and after just two or three wearings look like I've been hiking through the mountains with them for weeks. NOT what you'd expect at that price point. Luckily, I didn't pay retail, but nevertheless you'd still expect them to be better made. So, I'm with you that styling is very important (I'd not like to wear some clunky shoes either, regardless of "quality"), but just look at them carefully IN PERSON to see if you think they will last.
