I stopped by the local Marshall's tonight (Houston Galleria location) and came across a nice collection of Polo Ralph Lauren suits in staple colors in initially appeared to be my size. But alas, they were the smallish Bradford model, so actually none ended up in my size. If anyone's interested, they are selling for $499.99.
Solid medium gray, 2-button Bradford model, flat front pants - 38s, 38r (both are drop 6)
Solid medium gray, 2-button, 3-piece, flat front pants, - 40L (drop 8)
Medium gray with super light lavender windowpane, wide lapel, 2-button, 3-piece, flat front pants - 40 L (drop 8)
Charcoal, 2-button, 3-piece, stitched lapel, flat front pants - 40L (drop8)
Black, 2-button, wide peak lapels, 3-piece, flat front pants, 40L (drop 8)
All of the 3-piece suits are not labeled Bradford, but they fit about the same. That is, the 40L felt like a 39R. The cut is almost like a RLBL.
There were also several other suits in size 40L (e.g., a cotton seersucker, and a gray-blue price of wales) that I did not take notes on, as I did not think people would be as interested.
